Track Days
Arrive at the designated track the day of the race and pay your gate fee. Location, times, and gate fees will be posted in advance.
Make as many passes as you can/want, in the time allotted. Driver or Co-pilot may drive when making a pass, provided they meet all requirements. When you have the time slip that you want to turn in, take it to the designated Drag Cruise official. Once it is recorded. You will be asked if the time entered into the computer is correct, to help prevent human error. If a car fails to check in, it will receive the default time slip.
If no valid time slip is not turned in for a race day, the time entered will be the following:
R/T: .500
E/T: 15.00
MPH: 0.00
If you turn in a negative reaction time, you will get the default time slip reaction time of 0.500
A competitor must turn in at least one legal time slip during Drag Cruise to qualify for class.
Cruise Day
All competitors will be required to complete the cruise route. There will be several stop locations along the route that competitors will be required to take a picture of the competition vehicle at the location. Failure to show the required pictures at the end of the route will disqualify the entry.
During the Cruise, you can have a chase truck/trailer but must make the entire drive for your time to count. If you must get help from the chase truck, then your run is disqualified. We are on the honor system people, don’t be “That Guy”. Any competitor may assist another competitor but may only use tools and parts from a competition vehicle.
On the last day of the event, once all the time slips have been entered, there will be an Awards Meeting and trophies will be handed out.
If you have any questions, please take them to one of the Carolina Drag Cruise officials. We will do our best to answer all questions.
We ask that all drivers and their crew be respectful towards other participants and race officials. Carolina Drag Cruise reserves the right to remove a competitor at the Race Director’s discretion.
